Requirements: min. 2 years prod. experience, preferably agency. Excellent organizational, proof-reading and time management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at one time. Knowledge of Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Knowledge of Access databases helpful. Basic graphic design background, however this is NOT a design position. Knowledge of printing industry.
First line of responsibility to assure all production deadlines are met. Create, maintain and communicate workable internal timelines for projects. Update and maintain weekly production schedule. Trafficking materials to newspapers and to/from graphic designers, printers, etc. Internal mailing and external mailhouse coordination, and knowledge of mailing requirements. Vendor negotiation and estimating, including printing and specialty vendors. Act as liaison between Production manager and Marketing Staff. Maintain expenses including checking for accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and balancing monthly budget. Perform general office function including photocopying, filing, distribution of materials and scheduling of meetings. Coordination of special events.
