We’ll begin a series on leveraging social media tools and platforms for your business. This month’s meeting will focus on Facebook and Twitter.

Today, more than half of Twitter users follow six or more brands. This offers businesses a unique opportunity to engage people on Twitter in real-time conversations. According to Compete, two of the top reasons Twitter users give for following a brand are special offers (94%) and exclusive content (79%). Twitter also gives marketers a unique ability to bring people closer to their interests.
Build relationships with them, reach new people and drive sales using Facebook. Over one billion people like and comment an average of 3.2 billion times every day. When you have a strong presence on Facebook, your business is part of these conversations and has access to the most powerful kind of word-of-mouth marketing .
