Apple announced a new version of the MacBook Pro, with a processor speed bump to 2.8GHz Intel Core i7. Similar to the simultaneous improvements to the iPad line, the new MBPs feature a thinner, lighter design and Retina displays. Perhaps one of the biggest differences that illustrates the convergence with the MacBook Air line is the absence of an internal DVD drive.
